Ballet Performance Framework

for children’s ballet productions

A complete, ready-made ballet recital concept, including a defined theme and a selected list of music, designed for dance, live instrumental music, and singing — and adaptable to recorded versions when live performance is not possible.

The Ballet Performance Framework is a clé-en-main recital product for ballet schools who want to create a coherent, meaningful show without having to choose the theme, search for music, or design the concept themselves.

Each Framework offers a fully imagined performance concept, including:

  • a clearly defined theme

  • a pre-selected list of music

  • a musical and vocal world conceived for dance, live instruments, and singing

The music is chosen and balanced in advance, with the realities of children performing on stage in mind.
While the concepts are designed for live music and voices, they can also be realized using recorded or orchestral versions when needed.

This allows teachers to focus their energy on choreography and teaching, while relying on a complete artistic concept that is already musically coherent.

The Ballet Performance Framework is available in limited quantities.

What is the Ballet Performance Framework?

The Ballet Performance Framework is a ready-to-use ballet recital concept for children’s performances of approximately 40–45 minutes.

It is not a method and it is not abstract guidance.
It is a fully designed show concept, immediately usable and adaptable to the context of each school.

Each Framework is built around:

  • a clearly defined theme

  • a selected and structured list of music

  • an articulated balance between dance, instrumental music, and singing

  • the realities of children and teenagers performing on stage

How it works

The Blueprint provides a tested ballet performance model.

Schools may:

  • create their own choreographies

  • adapt formations and technical level

  • use live piano and flute or recorded music

  • simplify musical elements when needed

Who this is for

The Ballet Performance Framework is ideal for:

✔ Ballet schools producing annual or year-end shows
✔ Teachers working with children and teen ensembles
✔ Institutions seeking musical & artistic coherence
✔ Ballet programs with or without music school partnerships

Many children’s ballet recitals are created by choosing music piece by piece and assembling dances over time.

The Ballet Performance Framework is different because the music is selected first, and the recital is conceived as a whole from the beginning.

What makes it distinctive:

  • A defined musical program
Each Framework includes a carefully selected list of musical works, chosen for their suitability for children, dance, and live performance.

  • Live music and singing as artistic foundations
The concept is designed for real musicians and singers on stage, often children themselves, creating an authentic dialogue with dance.

  • Designed for young performers
Musical, vocal, and choreographic choices respect children’s technical abilities, concentration, and expressive development.

  • Ready to use, yet adaptable
Schools receive a complete recital concept that can be realized with live performers or adapted to recorded or orchestral versions.

  • Proven in real performances
Each Framework is based on productions that have been performed on stage with children, young musicians, singers, and live audiences.

  • Enchanted Forest

A poetic ballet structure centered on dance with piano accompaniment and optional flute. No singing

  • Around the Mediterranean

A musically rich ballet structure integrating piano, flute, and optional singing — designed for stronger collaboration with music partners.

Both frameworks are crafted to support the same level of dance and musical rigor, differing only in the format of musical collaboration.

Optional extended materials

In addition to the standard Framework, optional extended materials may be available by request.

These may include:

  • choreographic material

  • bespoke piano and flute arrangements created for a specific institution

  • simplified arrangements adapted to the level of young musicians

Musical scores are not included in the standard Framework.
When arrangements are created, they are developed specifically for one institution and one production, in accordance with applicable copyright regulations.

The scope of extended materials is discussed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the production context.
